Dr. Lynda Duncan-Brown, Ed.D

Dr. Lynda Duncan Brown Ed.D is a third-generation educator. Dr. Brown shared a passion for serving the local community and sat out to start Ken-Lyn Consultants and Associates in 2019. Together, Dr. Brown and her husband grew their local family counseling business from serving one millennial couple into an outreach that serves over 180 citizens in 20 states. Ken-Lyn supports eight affiliate counselors and three interns providing tutoring, educational advocacy, legal documentation assistance and consultant work for education, church and business industry. 

 

She has been a career teacher for over 20 years working primarily with kindergarten through eighth grade students in all content areas. Dr. Brown has spent her entire career teaching at Title 1 schools. She specializes in working closely with students who need assistance with “closing the gaps” in their core subjects and eventually pushing them to work above grade level, particularly English Language Learners. She is also a dyslexia specialist. Her goal is to help students master the objective(s) of their core subject(s).

 

Dr. Lynda Duncan-Brown (EdD candidate) was born in Tacoma, Washington. She is a native of San Antonio, Texas. Dr. Brown received her Bachelor of Science degree from Texas Tech University, a Master of Education degree from Grand Canyon University, an Education Specialists from North central, and doctoral candidate from North central University. On a personal note, Brown is a mother to three grown children and grandmother to two granddaughters. As the wife of Dr. Kenneth A. Brown, she relishes in the role of being parent to adult boys and two granddaughters.
