I met Tiffany at Crunch Fitness when she was assigned to me as a trainer. My initial impression was that she was very knowledgeable and was ready to get down to business. I met Darren at the local gym I am a regular at, first as co-workers, then as friends. I know Darren to always be an upstanding, kind, hard-working individual. His constant professionalism is the reason I even trusted him to train me.
 I'm a parkour athlete of 20 years and have pretty specific needs in my training as well as goals I wanted to meet. Darren, not only took all of that into account, but even did additional research into my sport to create the ideal program for me specifically.

Tiffany Burks has been my personal trainer for two years. I am 77 yrs old and she has been particularly encouraging to me as well as appropriately challenging. Where to start? I am a 60 year old, somewhat fit, active woman, who was looking to improve my fitness and health with weight training…as advised by my personal physician. I almost didn’t train with Darren because I didn’t think this young man would take me, an older individual, seriously, but boy, nothing could be further from the truth! Darren is caring, encouraging and very knowledgeable in his field! He doesn’t care how old you are, your gender, or what your fitness level is, he only sees a person wanting to improve their health, and that gets him going! I truly believe Darren cares about the people he trains.. they are not just a number or a time a slot! I learned so much from him and my strength did improve! One thing was for sure, he made me think of exercise and nutrition in a whole new way! When I started with him, I was walking less than 3,000 steps a day - I blamed my desk job… anyway, I am now ALWAYS hitting between 10k and 18k steps a day. He showed me the importance of moving as much as I could! He makes you accountable, and encourages you! The man knows what he is doing, all you have to do is look at him! The reason for my review is because therapy is important. Often there is a stigma behind therapy… That something is wrong with a person for seeking treatment! Wrong! Therapy is needed and one way to help break that stigma is by leaving reviews for therapist that are doing just that. Dr. Brown is a direct therapist and that is what the field of therapy needs! He observed and provided evidence based treatment, honest feedback and spiritual knowledge into a combination of a therapeutic format that myself and family are able to understand and work towards together. He is practical, funny down to earth, realistic and balances out the sessions so we aren’t all over the place. Dr. Brown doesn’t do the work for you but he does provide the tools for you and/or your family to utilize in a therapeutic way. You can tell he takes pride in developing tools that our tailored SPECIFIC to his clients not just some black and white found in books! Dr. Kenneth Brown has been able to guide me through a heavy time of bereavement and additional life challenges. I have done a good amount of counseling over my lifetime. Dr. Brown is unique in that he invests in us as much as we are investing in the process. With other counselors, there are often strict boundaries surrounding your 1 hour appointment and ways to reach out in between. While I understand why that is, it does not feel like the counselor really cares or is invested in my personal progress and well being. While we are respectful of Dr. Brown's personal time and he of ours, it's apparent he's thinking of us in between appointments and contemplating how to make our time together most effective. Dr. Brown has also been able to quickly identify the "root cause" of issues and help us develop strategies to overcome.....very tangible tools/solutions to overcome and heal. I look forward to continuing on this journey and am hopeful for our future for the first time in a long time.

I have struggled finding counseling that actually took the time to understand, listen and hold me accountable but Dr. Brown has done all three. I believe that he cares about his work and his clients and I would recommend him to other couples.

Beyond Blessed

Fell in love all over again!

My fiancée and I were not in serious relationship danger & thought that seeking counseling before going through with marriage will be beneficial to weed out the small foxes that led to sudden disagreements. This came to be our best decision to date.
